Apples
When discussing the green tomatoes at church last weekend a friend offered me some cooking apples, bringing them today.
They are big, perfect, beautiful Bramleys (I think) all 17 of them, and came with a sample of the chutney that he had made from the same tomatoes.
We compared recipes, finding that we had used much the same basic ingredients but with variation regarding the spices, so it will be interesting to compare the taste - once they have matured, in three months time.
