Loom room

Went to an intro to weaving workshop this morning at the Loom Room in Kirkwall. Loved it, great fun to do. Might have to do more.

The warp threads, which apparently is the bit that takes longest to set up, was already there so we were given a short and simple lesson in weaving, chose some colours to work with and off we went. 3 hours later we had all made a placemat sized piece of fabric.

Totally engrossing and addictive. Might have to do more.
