With a Flourish
18.8C ... warm ! Bright earlier, but clouding over.
Choosing the blip this afternoon has been a struggle.
This morning we went to Sainsbury's as usual and when we were heading back to the car with our loaded trolley there was a tractor pulling up near the cash machine. I had my little camera in my pocket. I got a shot or two. Nice B&W shots they are too.
Then we went to Brought Ferry and had a wander round. I decided to stick with B&W and got plenty of shots. The Castle in silhouette with two fishermen on the pier. Views towards Dundee, some even had various pier type objects/furniture in the foreground ... and a rig sitting at the repair dock. They even had they road bridge in the background.
Then, as we walked along a quiet road back to the car, we passed this number. Just a number. On a wall. But what colour ! What extraordinary in the very very ordinary. How could I resist :-)
We stopped at the garden centre on the way home and bought a couple of mint plants. When we got home we emptied the containers we have in the back garden to grow mint and replanted with the new plants and some fresh shoots from the old plants. We have Apple Mint, Black Spearmint, Spearmint, Garden Mint, and Chocolate Mint. Hopefully there will be plenty for Mint Tea when summer comes along.
After lunch we took Maeve the Deerhound for her walk. When we were walking down the bridle path we met a very nice lady coming the other way on a lovely quiet white horse. We stood aside to let her pass. We exchanged cheery greetings too :-)
It looked quiet down on the beach as we walked along the cycle path which runs parallel to the shore. However, we decided to carry on walking by. Perhaps tomorrow ...
... and there is pink fizz in the fridge :-)
