Tree Canopy
This morning I went for a two-hour walk through 'the patch': the woods, ponds, grassland and heath that makes up the birdwatching zones of Wanstead Park and Wanstead Park. It's wonderful to have such a rich habitat within walking distance, and to be able to hear Skylarks singing from on high within the North Circular.
This Blip was taken while listening to, and occasionally glimpsing, Goldcrests in Reservoir Wood, which is at the western end of Wanstead Park. It's taken looking nearly vertically up through the trees, and tries to catch the sun filtering through the different layers of foliage.
