Highly Flammable

A busy day in school with mentees, drop-ins and a new little group of Ukrainian students. The school wanted to provide a safe space for them to have some time out and so we are doing a bit of wild craft with them. I’m astonished by how they cope (or seem to cope) with the situation they’ve been placed in. All of the students we had are in different year groups and so don’t get to hang out with each other much. It was nice to hear them chatting away to each other, catching up and giggling.

We had some fun after work too. It’s nice to have friends who move in different circles to me and I was glad of that tonight, visiting a new studio for creatives in Shrewsbury. I tagged along with Romy, who’s an actual creative, and enjoyed meeting lots of new, lovely people, having some excellent food and cocktails and messing around in the wonderful studio rooms.
