Scarlet Oak ( Quercus coccinea )

Another day keeping Clickychick company at the studio.  I read and helped and gave opinions as and when requested.  Outside it rained.

After 4:00 o'clock when the light was visibly fading I realised I hadn't taken any shots of anything.  It was still raining but not heavily so, jacket on and a quick wander round outside blip hunting.  I took a few shots of the scenery and tried for autumn colour on the Scarlet Oak tree.  Walking back to the studio I spotted this Oak leaf on the ground.

Scarlet Oaks are native to South East and Central USA.  They have been used as ornamental trees in this country since the late 1600s.
