Nearly there

The weather is over delivering on the rain and wind this week - it’s exhausting! Today looked like a slightly tamer day so we picked a hill to tackle which offered a bit of shelter - at least on the walk in.
So off we plodded, really nice path up, although it was mostly a stream - there’s no water shortage here at the moment! All was well till we got high up on the ridge and we had to get our heads down to push on in to the wind. But we eventually got to a point where we could barely stand up - not fun. And finally I called it - About Turn. I hated giving up but it was so tough and quite scarey. It was the right decision but we were only 100 metres below the top - sooo annoying! So this picture is the view looking back up the mountain as we stomped back down.
