On The Mend

This blip was sent to me by Lucy's Daddy last night, she has just competed a 1000 piece jigsaw we gave her when she broke her wrist two weeks ago.
The Story:
Lucy was egged on by a group of boys at lunchtime recess in school, boys saying "how many cartwheels can you do Lucy"? of course not content with doing one or two or having the space to be able to do only one or two Lucy said at least 5! so of she went achieving 4 successfully and had she not ran out of space and saw a brick wall was approaching for her 5th cartwheel, she twisted herself and leaving her wrist behind her somehow twisted it and broke it in two places.
Daddy was working at the time but he downed his tools and was on his way,  we were closer so we went to school to sit with her until the ambulance arrived, coincidentally daddy made it to school the same time as the ambulance, they all came into the school sick bay together, Lucy was the bravest little one I've ever seen, even the paramedic said "if it had been his boy he would've been screaming the place down", bless.
Extras are Lucy being wheeled away, she was very excited to go on 'the big bed' as she called it.
She had to go for surgery the following day to have two rods inserted to align the badly broken wrist, she has handled it all like the little trooper she is'

another 5-6 weeks and she will be as good as new, hopefully the next cartwheels will be in open space on grass..
