Invincible?

D day today or should that be V day? Whichever it is, we headed off to the Gyle for our flu and covid jabs this lunchtime. The covid booster was absolutely pain free when it was given, completely unnoticeable. I made sure to get the batch number to record in the Vac4covid app.
This afternoon my friend Maggie popped in, we've been friends since 1983 when we met at a mother and baby group. We've been out to India twice together and she came out to visit me when I was working there for 6 months to. She too, by coincidence but with encouragement from me, ended up teaching in a school for children with special needs. We don't get enough chances to catch up these days, so it was good to have time to chat.
This evening was my first live bridge club session since January 2020. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with people again rather than online. So nice to be able to chat and play in a group of friends. Sadly there were some people missing who didn't survive the last couple of years since our last meeting. I was delighted when we won, by rather a large margin.

I'm so glad to have had these vaccines, to quote the song :
I'm unstoppable
I'm a Porsche with no brakes
I'm invincible
Yeah, I win every single game!
That could refer to the vaccine or to bridge I realise, sadly though my bridge is not that reliable!
