The Black Friar

As I have probably mentioned before, occasionally it seems like the whole covid/lockdown experience messes with my sense of time. For example, things that happened just before the first lockdown can seem like they didn't happen that long ago. Or maybe that's just how I am, anyway.

Whatever the reason, I was a little surprised a couple of months ago (or was it?!) when my colleague Steve mentioned in passing that he'd be seeing his partner for two and a half years. It seemed like perhaps we were all overdue a meet up.

So, this evening we went out for dinner in Salford, starting with drinks at the Kings Arms before proceeding 'round to the Black Friar. I always find these situations a little nerve-racking but actually Kerry turned out to be great and easy company, and the four of us had a wonderful evening.

And yes, this is very much an emergency Blip!
