Blustery in Kirkwall

A blustery day in Palace Road on the way to dancing.  Well attended.  Today’s Strathspey was ‘Gang the Same Gate’.  Obviously.  The warm up dance was Bratach Bana, then Black Mountain Reel.  Others included Lady in Red and the Bonnie Bells of Heather. I nearly came out of the anaesthetic during Ian Powrie's Farewell to Auchterarder.
 
Back at base I lifted some beetroot and CMC made ten jars of chutney and a pan of soup.  With yoghourt and crumbly oatcakes.
 
A tropical Monday really.

All ferries are cancelled today.
