Eating Al Fresco

And Al wasn’t very happy about it.  Not a good day to be a sheep in Orkney.  One minute after this (over-rehearsed) exposure it came tumbling down and kept on coming.  Wind got up to 47mph so what else was there to do but go and visit Dougal?

Happy to report he is at home and gradually recovering from the removal of a tumour on his brain.  It is evident he had very complicated surgery in Aberdeen.  His speech is very gradually returning but he whispered to me he is having trouble spelling.  Glen Farg proved tricky for him. Undeterred he was examining the fixtures for Scottish League 2, we are planning a field trip next April.  Will Meles be at the same game ??  CMC’s sister was present – she had supplied informal medical support whilst we were sooth.  During the chat the following were consumed:  tea, coffee, carrot cake with marzipan through it, cheese scones, Tunnock’s wafers, Jaffa’s, pancakes with North Ronaldsay jam. Thank Gordon the medical support was present.

Since returning to Creel HQ the sheep are inside and are about to get their stories.  They behave - except for when they get in front of the TV, or place their hooves on the remote control; even worse start bleating and giggling and arguing about their PJs.

In fact nearly any type of activity in the pantry is not advisable.  Put it this way, it’ll never be an Olympic Even
