2022 Saturday — Enjoying the Fire

Our backyard project concluded today. There are a few things left to do, but basically we told Mercado yesterday that the project needed to end.

We actually told him on Thursday, September 22, that the project needed to be finished by Friday, September 30. He indicated then, that ending on the last day of the month would not be a problem.

So the clean-up crew was here today; there was a lot of clean-up to do and they accomplished most of it. Also several areas of the project that needed completing were completed today.

We’ll be responsible for the planting of the flower beds at the top of each of the retaining walls; as far as I am concerned that can wait a while.

My original and main concern all along was to make sure our backyard uphill slope did not become a mudslide that poured in to our house during heavy rains.

We also now have walkways to the top of our slope that do not include stairs; we did not want to climb steps. The fire pit is at the top of the slope. The view is spectacular.

So hooray for getting to the Finish Line.
