McCaig's Tower, Oban

With strong winds and a lot of rain forecast today, we abandoned our original plan to go over to Mull today in case we couldn’t get back on the ferry. The idea of 5 of us squeezed into a car overnight didn't really appeal funnily enough.

Instead, us girls took the short walk this morning into the centre of Oban, up Jacobs ladder (proving how unfit I am) and onto McCaig's Tower or Folly as some call it.

Despite the gloomy day, the rain starting, and the wind picking up, there was still a lovely view from there down to the harbour below and across to Kerrera.

We then explored some of the shops in Oban before heading back to get dry and cosy with a hot chocolate.
