Just an old fashioned tea-room ...

Popped into Tilly Tearoom in Dunblane this afternoon (diet currently on hold- excuse recovering from Covid), which is always a special treat.
 
Met owner Nora Gilfillan who hit on a winning formula when she opened her first tearoom in Tillicoultry some  years ago.

Like all good ideas it’s remarkably simple: provide good home cooking at a reasonable price in a cosy setting with a friendly staff.
Over the years it has garnered her endless praise and in 2015 was the winner of the best café/bistro in Scottish Food Awards.

Its very popular and you might well have to join a queue for a table.
