More New Toys

Robin commented yesterday that to charge an electric car you need a power source , which if you live in  a flat, as I believe he does, is a problem.  But we don't live in a flat and Mr P has recently arranged for solar panels to be put on the roof of our garage/ office building (extra). The fancy gadget above takes the solar energy and feeds it into the battery shown or sends it to our house or to the grid. Although with the weather we've had since it was installed two weeks ago, we've not generated any surplus for the grid.  When its sunny Mr P rushes to plug in his car and I am encouraged to put on the washing machine.
