Nice weather for Ducks

- and swimmers. What better exercise than swimming when you are going to get wet anyway.   We usually share early morning on the lake with the rowing club but they stayed in the on-site gym this morning  because it was so windy they would have capsized.  And the ducks were sheltering on the submerged jetty behind the rowers pontoon as you see here.  So we had the lake to ourselves.
And at breakfast I checked on the saddleback steam engine seen on Sunday.  Its Victor, 2996,  a 1951 Bagnall Class built for the Steam Company of Wales for the Port Talbot Works and bought by Haverthwaite in 2009.  The engine has also seen service at the former Austin Motor Co Longbridge plant in Birmingham.
