Sunset pipped
The wonderful sunset in extras was pipped by the shot of Susan enjoying her evening with a guitar group at a public house in Doddington. We came across the group as a result of the base player in our Marmite Ukulele band.
This was her first visit. We were made very welcome and by the strangest of all coincidences the group was led by a chap who lived and grew up in Bearsden near Glasgow, who went to the same school as Susan, lived near where she did as a teenager, knew people that she knew and even remembered Susan’s sister. Weird or what?
Looks like we might be going again as they also tolerate ukuleles. So we can both play!
It was my eldest son’s 4x birthday today so I spoke to him this evening. He’s had an enjoyable day, went to a Miller and Carter Steak House to celebrate. He said he’d come top of the batting averages for his cricket club and will have his name inscribed on the batting trophy. A fine achievement given that he came to cricket late and now is performing better than his old dad
