Red hot

This clump has taken root in the gravel, right at the end of the drive, and every year at this time they flower. How they came to be there in the first place is a mystery, but then most things in our garden are a mystery.

Just been to Appleby for flu vaccination. I was also offered one for pneumonia and one for shingles, but I decided that one at a time might be a good idea. I suppose I am so rarely at the medical centre that they have to try to give me everything when I do make an appearance.
