Sanderling

Evie: I saw snow buntings there last year so went looking, but perhaps a bit early for flocks. I saw one last week in Birsay , none today. Small numbers of dunlin, sanderling, ringed plover. They'll be joined by purple sandpipers soon, this bit of shore is always good for purples. Extra is a shot of the Broch of Gurness.
