On the right lines

This is the penultimate train of the day from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse this afternoon.

I remember travelling to school on these trains over 60 years ago! The view through the windows at the front gave an enviable driver’s view of the route ahead! However, the most memorable views from these trains were on holiday trips to Edinburgh when the view crossing The Forth Bridge was unforgettable!

Our young overnight visitors enjoyed watching the start of The London Marathon before more fun until they were picked up. Our joint hopes of a ManU win and Lewis Hamilton taking the podium in Singapore were, alas, not to be realised.

A surprisingly warm walk in the afternoon.
