Coriolus versicolor

With all that money, Josiah Mason (see Day 54) must have been a fun guy to be with. So, here is a picture of some fungi to celebrate. The versicolor part means 'of several colours' and is nicely shown here. This IS a type of mushroom in case you were wondering. No word in Wikipedia as to whether it is edible or not but it is being researched for its medicinal qualities. For the photo geeks out there, I made use of the natural lightbox propoerties of a dull, overcast day to get the best result. Also, no processing of any kind on this photo.
