Kent

This is the River Kent, which runs through Kendal (Kent dale). It also runs right past our offices and I have spent many an hour just on this exact spot with my colleague, Steve.

There have been good times and bad times, times of stress and anxious planning, but also times of joy and celebration. And, usually, a bit of a laugh.

Occasionally, when I'm on my own, this view has provided the backdrop for my own anxieties and introspection, but also moments of quiet pride and celebration.

I didn't mean to catch this lady in my picture. I think she was a trainee at the Red Cross, which is just below our office. It's amazing how many people who come to train there pop out to sit by the river for a cigarette!
