Quantum Leap

Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Created to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth, in Shrewsbury, of evolutionist Charles Darwin. It was designed by an architect from Sutton Coldfield (near where I live) and unveiled on 8th October (my birthday) in 2009 so it seemed appropriate that this shot should represent our day in Shrewsbury. In the background you can see Welsh Bridge traversing the River Severn - home of the Barbel.
