Lunch with E

Anne and Bob, our Jersey pals, arrive in town at some point this evening, after a protracted day of flying - the direct flights to/from Jersey stop after the summer. They’ll visit us tomorrow.

We were meeting Elizabeth for lunch today to thank her for looking after Arch for the weekend. We left him at home, though, and went to Birchwood, a local cafe. Just as well we didn’t bring him - it was crowded and noisy and two other dogs were there. He’d rather be at home with his bone.

We then came back to rescue him, and Elizabeth took him out for a walk. It was sunny then, but there were showers during the afternoon, which they managed to avoid.

Hazel popped in to the Apple shop to pick up her new iPhone - she thought it wouldn’t arrive in time for her holiday, so she’s well pleased - holiday tomorrow!
