More autumn food on the menu this evening - a Spanish bean stew. Blipped. 

It was that kind of day and that kind of weather, when spending time in the kitchen and conjuring up something flavoursome was a good plan. 

I also did some laundry... and reached the last 10 pages of La Peste. What has been interesting about re-reading it after 50 years is finding so many similarities between a fictional outbreak of bubonic plague in the 1940s with an actual Covid 19 pandemic in the 2020s.
