Safe Haven

The harbour was still and quiet this morning after several days of high winds.  Equinoctial gales, as some might call them - storms that arise as the sun crosses the equator (though apparently they are mythical rather than real).  The winds were real enough, though, and violent.  Fortunately the harbour kept the boats sheltering within its protective arms quite safe.  Not sure how the gathering of hundreds, if not thousands, of sailing boats out in the Gulf fared during the gales.  It is an annual gathering known as "Les Voiles de Saint Tropez".  Boats under sail, big and small.  I snapped them breaking the distant horizon this morning, and that is my Extra for today.
