Goldfinch

Caught up with some domestic tasks.  
I saw different birds at the feeder so set up the tripod and camera.  The goldfinches which are infrequent visitors were making several repeat visits but just as soon as they arrived were gone or moved quickly to another part of the bird feeder whilst I was trying to get a shot
When I stopped trying to blip them they spent minutes perched on the feeding station. 

Feeling the need for warming food so it was veggie sausages, boiled potatoes, cavolo nero and onion gravy. 

We're trying not to put heating on until mid-October or when day and night temperatures are in single figures.  So far so good.
