Whitelee
After yoga I decided to visit the largest onshore windfarm in the UK, it’s only a few miles away and would probably have just met the historic covid travel regulations when you were allowed to go 5 miles outside your local authority boundary. Anyway I visited Whitelee Windfarm for the first time today. I made two errors – insufficient layers and no binoculars. It really was the coldest place way up on the Eaglesham Moor, with spectacular views out to Arran and Kintyre. I was so taken with it that I would have done the tour bus thing had it not been fully booked with a school party. I plan to return, better clothed and do one of the longer circular walks.
A great run this evening at a brisk pace with a large sociable crowd, and an adorable golden retriever who also enjoys sailing and paddle boarding, my various niggles are no worse.
