Hele Bay

We’ve come down to Hele Bay, just outside Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast for a few days. We were due to be staying in one of the lodges in the photo but they had a problem with the flooring so instead they have put us in the ground floor apartment in the thumbnail which is much bigger and rather luxurious with a hot tub in a private courtyard and a big picture window with sea views. Very nice!

We stopped off at Combe Martin a few miles away for a bit of lunch. Once we arrived and unpacked we went for a short stroll on the coastal path from where the photo was taken.

This evening we had a meal in the pub about a minute up the road. It seemed a lot of our fellow new arrivals at the lodges had the same idea.
