Teachers Award

Busy weekends at the moment mean that work days almost feel like a bit of a rest. This morning was much like that, catching up on bits and pieces and getting my head straight for the week ahead.

We had a lunch club for some new year sevens today and it was an eye-opener. We had about 40 minutes of a fairly active session with about 12 year sevens. The thought of an hour of sitting down in a lesson with 30 of them frazzled my brain. I'm not sure why this happens but some years just feel like they are so much younger than they are. It felt like herding 5 year olds. I'm looking forward to getting to know them and their little characters over the next few weeks but my overwhelming feeling is that teachers are heroes and we should give them all of the pay rises.

Took this Wyle Cop shot en route to school to show a friend a bit of re-branding. This is the first year (so far) that I have blipped every single day. Not sure if this is an entirely good thing, judging by the quality of my images. Note to myself is to pick up a proper camera occasionally before this year is out.
