Various jobs this morning and gardening. I tried ringing my old landlord which I have been putting off but he didn’t answer anyway.
Then my friend picked me and my bike up and we went for a cycle to the light side for a gorgeous swim in the late afternoon sun. I’d made flapjack so we sat and made the most of being back at the old place. Such a joy to be back.

Swimming quote of the year so far, from somewhere out in  the middle of the lake: ‘My wetsuit smells of chutney!.

I was sorry to hear of Hilary Mantel’s sudden death. I’ve been listening to the music of Wolf Hall which I absolutely adore ... it’s so beautiful ...
