Autumn crocuses

I had a free day and the forecast was good so I did a final recce and risk assessment for the Dog Walk in October. It is beginning to take on a life of its own as Ramblers Scotland enthusiastically promote it across the usual social platforms.
I came across these crocuses in Castlebank Park just above the Clyde. I also located Corra Linn Castle which I walked straight past last time whilst I was looking for badger snuffle holes.
So RIP Hilary Mantel, still think her first book was the best - Every Day is Mother’s Day, deeply darkly comic.
