Five guineas

A thoroughly wet day so, apart from the obligatory spaniel walks, we have been sorting through more of the boxes that were stored in our attic. The best find today is this five guinea bank note issued on the 5th October 1816 by the Scarborough Bank for Woodall, Tindall, Taylor and Co. A bit of research on the internet suggests that the equivalent today would be a £568 note.
