Echo Sounder

Being an inland body of water, there is no tide to drive the waves, so unless it's a windy day to raise a chop, the only movement comes from boat activity. And so it was today.

To get something interesting though requires timing. There is a delay between the boat passing, which depends on its speed and power, before the swell hits the shore. In this frame I used a shallow dof rendering the waves nearest a touch soft and created an image with more variety. The effect reminded me of sound waves such as with an echo sounder.
