Summer?

Could it possibly be so? Could it actually be heading for summer weather? We seem to have bypassed spring somewhat. Today the children at nursery were in suncream and sunhats. A week ago Katie wore a scarf and hat.

We had a later start to the working day than usual because the first words out of Katie's mouth this morning were "Mummy can we go swimming". This was at 6am. We were waiting at the pool when they opened - not as impressive as it sounds, the learner pool only opened at 9am. Katie was sooo pleased to have Mummy and Katie swimming time. She did a brilliant load of swimming. Her swimming on her back has come on so well! I loved being back in the pool with her, its been a few weeks.

We got a taxi to nursery after a snack and she's spent most of the day playing outside. She was quite upset at the prospect of having to have suncream on, but I think it was actually the outlet for her feeling a bit overwhelmed at everyone running to see her when she arrived.

When I picked her up from nursery, she had a bit of a run round the teeny wood near it and spent time picking flowers. She's not asleep in the photo, just concentrating on picking the daisies. One of her little friends had been off sick from nursery and she saw her out riding her bike as we walked home. So off Katie went chasing her.

While Katie was at nursery, I got a very exciting parcel. The wonderful Monkey Mei Tai had been in possession in her favourite of our wraps, to convert into a mei tai. It came back to us today and is just the most beautiful thing! When Katie got home she spotted the pile of wrap scraps on the table that got returned with it. She asked me "why has it been all cut up?" She was more than satisfied with the explanation and came straight up to test it.
