A-ha!

A nice day with the Minx in the Salford office, today, before heading across to The Everyman in the evening to watch the A-ha film, 'True North'. I was mildly disappointed that it wasn't quite as crackers as the trailer implied, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

The film consists of them playing the tracks from their forthcoming album live - or pretty much live - in a large studio, accompanied by the Arctic Philharmonica, intercut with what amounted to a series of inter-related music videos. I'm not sure if I'd buy the album, but I did enjoy hearing the songs played live, and in that setting.

The best part for me, though, was the stunning film of the Norwegian landscape that featured both in the videos and the interviews with the band members between songs. I'm very much looking forward to going there later this year.

Today's Blip is the back of the building that is next to our office. I love these old brick buildings, that look like they'd be fun to explore. I always wonder about the last time places like this were actively used. Did the last person to leave know that was it?
