Changing of the Guard

Our 9 and 7 year old wanted to wear their Cub and Beaver uniforms today when they came to our house to watch the State Funeral. It was, without doubt, a truly memorable day. The most watched global event of all time. Irrespective of views on the monarchy the sense of celebration of a life of 70 years of dedicated service was profound and I, for one, thought her state funeral was an appropriate acknowledgment.
