Final Farewell to Queen Elizabeth II

Like many people I spent a lot of time today following the Queens funeral. I watched some on TV but also listened to the Radio commentary while doing some gardening!

The U.K really does events like this so well, very impressive pageantry. The BBC also has done a good job covering all aspects of the ceremonies.

Our Health Club had several big screens in their Conference Suite with free refreshments , including Victoria sponge cake! I went along for a while with a friend for the first part of the service but actually was not keen watching in a big group.

I have several friends who watched the coffin pass on the A4 as they live near; and another who tried to go to Windsor but the trains were cancelled so she got stuck at Staines , very unfortunate .
