Rainbow riot

These rainbow lorikeets really have the most spectacular feathers.  There were two hanging around for some seeds.  They have a "small bird" attitude taking on birds much larger than themselves and are loud and raucous.

I have put a very poor quality extra up taken with the phone which was the confrontation between a lorikeet and a cockatoo.  The cockie could have size wise made mince meat of the lorikeet but, needless to say, the lorikeet won the day.
