Autumn

All good things have to come to an end and we have arrived back home. My souvenirs laid out, I really enjoy the bright coloured ceramics which remind me of the colourful marked we got them from. I always like to take a few seeds with me and see what comes of them.

One big disappointment was for my daughter because she was told in June that she passed and congratulated for being able to go through to her final year at Uni. So on the last day of holiday a notification came, that the letter was a mistake, she failed one module and has to take the whole second year again! All this two days before the start of term. No apologies, no phone call no understanding what upset this would cause. Only a very matter-of-fact letter, citing regulations and she could try to appeal but not likely to succeed. Boom!!
We had to read the whole thing twice to really comprehend what happened there…..
