Surveying the land

Birthday celebrations today for my brother, who I am visiting. We walked in to Shrewsbury along the river Severn and up in to the castle to survey the Shropshire landscape - it was a bit hazy. We hadn’t realised that the Proclamation of the King would be taking place in town and missed it! We wondered why there were various dignitaries in their fancy outfits wandering round.
We sampled a couple of pubs on route back to the house and a couple of friends came in for a drink. We eventually had a delicious dinner cooked by my bro - although I think we were all rather sozzled by that time.
