Hydro walk

A day of snow on the mountains, sunshine and rain, wind and rainbows. We decided to brave the weather and do the invigorating Pupu hydro walk. This takes you up and up through dense and spectacular bush, dripping and verdant. The water channel and it's accompanying technology was built in the 1920s and used to generate electricity. It is an impressive bit of engineering and still in use.
Later Esme joined us after nursery for the trifle party!! That went down very well. Over supper she requested some Bob Marley and we finished the day with a few moves to Michael Jackson and the Stones! We are now babysitting whilst Joe has another badminton session!
