first day of work

First day of work at the job on Nantucket Island today. I met the people in the office, all of whom are nice people. Nate (my roommate and coworker) and I learned about the history of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation (a story for another day), the various projects we'll be working on (lots of plant studies, some fire, some mowing, radios on turtles, helping herd sheep) and got a tour of the office, work shop and garden area.

Tomorrow will be a scavenger hunt. As I understand it, we'll be given a GPS a truck, and some instructions. We'll be going around the island looking for various things (we'll see what tomorrow).

Today you get a picture of the living room from above. Today's weather was rainy, tomorrow should be clear and cool. I expect that I'll get some good photos tomorrow.
