A Tree With Attitude
I'm afraid Wobbly Bits Wednesday has been cancelled until further notice.
Go large for a little compensation. This needs to be seen properly.
Only a very few unlucky souls will have seen my risqué birthday suit birthday blip before it was pulled down by the blip police. Apparently there is a rule against full frontal nudity - even when done with a delicate artistic touch. I'm really sorry for the disappointment that's obviously going to be felt in the community, but it's out of my control.
So I celebrate my 2nd blip birthday with a more typical shot, taken at about 6.15am up on the moor. You could have had this sunburst sunrise shot but I was most drawn to the crags here soaked in that first golden light of the day, with this utterly improbable oak tree growing right out of the rocks. It does have quite an attitude about it.
I had no intention of being out that early but I woke up at 5.30am so completely that there was no point trying to get back to sleep. I took a run on the moor before cycling into work, and was still nice and early into the office. The day has gone better today too, getting some new stuff sorted and generally making good progress. Perhaps it's all to do with the feeling of Spring being in the air. There was real warmth in the sun at lunchtime and the cycle back home, going the long hilly way again, was wonderful in the evening light - with quite a few stops for photography along the way. The legs weren't so zippy tonight but that's not too surprising considering the exertions of the last few days.
I'm having to blip and run again as it's now 10pm and I haven't eaten yet. The lads are due back shortly. Roam has been umpiring tonight and Forrest is on his way back from Newcastle, the last game of his university cricket tour. Apparently he hit an unbeaten 120 out of a total of 180! The team lost but he clearly had a pretty good day himself. We need to do a bit of catching up.
PS Just for the record, I was only joking about the WBW shot. Those close to me will understand that I'm not particularly shy around getting my kit off in public places, but this is possibly just a little too public! Hands up those who believed me?
