Bad Deer

Not so thrilled with Bambi anymore. Looked up from working on my laptop on my sofa to discover that deer had been inside our fenced back yard and MUNCHED the strawberries plants (and possibly the tomatoes but I haven't wanted to go out in the rain to investigate). I only have a half dozen strawberry plants but still was hopeful for a few handfuls of berries. They left some stems and leaves so perhaps there's hope. And then as I was leaving for a haircut I noticed that my one and only annual this year, a red geranium, a gift, had its flowers munched off and, just to add insult to injury, been ripped out of the ground! Honestly, someone needs to tell the deer that if they'd leave the plant in the ground, they would get more hors d'oeuvres again later. This qualifies as an odd day because apparently all this destruction happened while my back was to the window.
