Skimming

There’s something of a fin de siècle feel to these last few weekends before 18yo heads off to uni.  I’m sure, with 14yo, we will continue to make Sunday excursions to Ilkley together over the years to come, but this will mark a new phase in all our lives.

The River Wharfe was pretty low, so stone skipping and skimming (in competitions, there’s a difference) was trickier than normal. We took special care to avoid the Dippers.
