In da Brae Woods

A breezy day, but mostly sunny. 

Up early and a morning puttering around the house.  I met friend Julie for walkies.  Headed up to Brae, met big Brian and Madeline for lunch at the Mid Brae Inn.  Walkies in the woods after lunch.  I've been working in the shop this evening, and a steady evening of customers.  I had one man in, claiming he was homeless and looking for a hot drink and food bank.  Looked like he's not long arrived in Shetland, just hope he gets something sorted before winter kicks in! Early night ahead. 

After a delicious lunch, I needed to walk off a few calories, but kept the walk simple.  I've not been in the woods here since they were not long planted, that must be about 15-20 years ago.  The trees have fairly got established now, and more added to the woods, along with various features, like this old boats made into benches.  We now have various plantations across Shetland, and they all are doing remarkably well.  Taken in the Brae Woods, Brae.
