Paying our respects

Lucy and I were up and out by 9.30 to go up to London to pay our respects to our dear Queen.  There were already lots and lots of people around so we decided to leave our flowers with others in Green Park.  We crossed the Mall and decided to stay put by the railings rather than join the masses walking towards the palace.  We were rewarded with our wait when we had the privilege of seeing our new King drive by on his way to the Palace.  Another emotional moment.

Lots going on along the Mall. Flags going up, black fringing on the top of the poles, many scaffolding areas and boarding going up too.

Oh, and Lucy painted the card to accompany the flowers.
