The bikes (Day 2683)
After the usual Sunday morning routine of walking Sigyn, then shopping, there was a change from the norm.
Today it was the 2022 Orkney Bike Run, this year raising money for Clan Cancer Support. My beautiful wife had checked the horses, and dropped Sigyn with Mum and Dad, and I got the bikes ready before we took the ZRX1200 and ZRX1100 in to town to join in the ride. It was grand - 197 bikes of all shapes and sizes, with an equally diverse range of riders. Totals are still not final, but it looks like close on to £9000 raised.
It was great fun to be riding in such a huge group, and to see nothing but bikes in front and behind.
I reckon HV fell in love with the 11 (T-rex) just a little more and I might need to be careful or I will lose it completely. Maybe I should be worried about the covetous look she gave me as she stood between the 11 and the 12 (extra). Perhaps the 12 isn't safe...
Back home, and with the bikes put away, HV headed for work and I zoomed to Stromness to check the horses and collect Sigyn.
It has been another day of glorious sunshine.
(HV is centre of the frame at the 42 second mark in this video which I stumbled across on Facebook. No idea who filmed it or posted it...)
